The National Association of Corporate Director’s Northwest Chapter
The NACD is the premier national educational, publishing and consulting organization in board leadership and the only membership association for boards, directors, director-candidates and board advisers. As a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation, our mission is to advance exemplary board leadership for directors, by directors. We deliver the knowledge and insight that board members need to confidently navigate complex business challenges and enhance shareowner value. We amplify the collective voice for directors in setting a substantive policy agenda. NACD was founded in 1977 as the only national membership organization created for and by directors. Today, more than 10,000 directors and key executives from public, private and non-profit companies rely on us for:

Our chapter was chartered by NACD to enhance corporate governance in the Northwest Region (Washington, Alaska, Oregon and Idaho), and provides a local educational and networking opportunity for individuals who serve as directors of corporations and business organizations from all industries, public and private, profit and non-profit.

Our interactive and entertaining monthly programs are for NACD Members and invited guests. We welcome public and private company directors to register for up to two programs per year to learn more and consider membership. Our knowledgeable speakers and panels are drawn from the region's leading businesses covering challenging topics. Our goal is to help make you an active, valuable contributor to your board. If you sit on a board, advise a board, work with a board, or are a candidate to join a board, this is your opportunity to learn from the region's business leaders.

On April 26th, the NACD Northwest Chapter recognized board leadership and excellence in four categories: Lifetime Achievement, Public Company, Private Company, and Non-Profit at the annual Director of the Year Awards event. In addition, the NACD recognized one business that exemplifies shared corporate success with the communities they serve. Over 250 community and business leaders joined us to help shine a light on outstanding boardroom leaders in the Norhwest!

NACD DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR AWARDS EVENT - CELEBRATED OUTSTANDING BOARDROOM LEADERS!
More than ever, directors who've demonstrated exceptional leadership when it was most needed, making incredible contributions to board effectiveness, corporate performance and shareholder value, need recognition. The Northwest Chapter of NACD presented the 2012 Director of the Year Awards on Thursday, April 26th at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. The event honored directors for excellence in corporate governance and recognized outstanding business organizations that share successes broadly across the communities they serve.
